Quaint Mountain Village

There is a town in Washington State that I love to visit,
it is called Leavenworth.

All of the buildings are built in the Bavarian style so that you get
an idea of what a German town might look like. Having never been
to Germany myself, I can only guess. All the shops carry different
kinds of European ware.

Early morning in the crisp October air

There are toy stores, clock stores, a chocolate factory, linens and
draperies, bakeries, wine tasting, a beer garten and cheese mart,
a nutcracker shop,a porceline doll boutique, a gingerbread bakery
and of course German cuisine restaurants and much much more.

So fun to walk around in and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells.
The smell of bratwurst wafting through the air at Octoberfest and
at other times ,and of course, outdoor music.

It is located in the eastern foothills of the Cascade Range where
there is lots of snow in the winter time.
.
That is where I got the inspiration for this painting  It is a
compilation of some of the surrounding sights.

I have printed cards of the painting, just in time for Octoberfest.
I have chosen the ultra felt feather-edged cards to print on and
they come with matching feather-edged envelopes.

These would make a lovely gift for someone or use them yourself.
I have smattered a little bit of ultra fine crystal glitter on the river
section to give it that moving water look. These cards and many
others are available at my  ETSY   store.
