Winter Cardinal

I love all the nuances of color and the interesting
composition of this painting. All of the intricacies of
someone who really knows how to paint.

This lovely card was printed from an original watercolor
painting done by my mother, V. duBois-Boyle. Even though
she is nearly 85 yrs.old, she still paints, and is an exhibiting
artist in the Denver area and a member of the
Colorado Watercolor Society.

My mon has been an artist for as long as I can
remember. As a child, her easel would be set up in
our family room from time to time as she
would work on mostly oil paintings at that time.

I have printed this lovely painting onto heavy,
feather-edged cardstock cards.

I have added just a smattering of ultra
fine crystal glitter to give it that frosty look.
These cards come with matching
feather-edged envelopes.

I have listed these cards as an individual card,
sets of five, sets of ten and sets of twenty and they
are available at my etsy store along with many
other all occasion greeting cards, paintings
and much more. All of my cards are blank inside.

Serenity you

  1. Good morning, Kathi! I am a follower of your blog and there isn't anything in your Etsy shop that I don't like! I guess because Christmas is coming up, I love anything with snow! :D :D Love the cardinals (one of my favorite birds).

  3. Hi Kathi, I would love to be entered in your give-away. And I am following now. Your Mother was so talented! I love that you are making the art into cards. I love them all so I guess I would pick a "collection" set. There is nothing more beautiful on a white snowy day than to see a brilliant red cardinal perched on a green pine bough. ~ Lynn

  9. My mother loved cardinals. Her Christmas tree & her house was always a cheerful red with all the Christmas cardinals she had. I set up a tree of cardinals every year in her memory & always buy cards with cardinals on them. So I would love to win these beautiful cards! A painting made by your mother no less! I'll be framing one of them to add to my Christmas decor if I win. :o)
